This is a wonderful early circa 1840’s  hand pieced quilt top in the Feathered  Stars quilt pattern with an applique vine border with berries .

The print is a beautiful turkey red fabric. 

The condition of this handmade top is excellent overall with some minor age spotting.

I saw a small hole and looking hard did see some popping in some of the blocks, although I had to hold it up to light to see that.

It’s a great example of an early quilt top and the wonderful fabric and design. The fabric is really just superb and I believe the same fabric is used throughout so that saying the maker had access to this turkey red. 

This is wonderful top for a collection or one that enjoys early textiles and an excellent study piece.

The dimensions of the top are  90x84 inches
